A ranking change shows where a page appeared for a tracked query. It does not show whether the people who found the business were a good fit or whether they contacted it.
Connect visibility to an action
Compare search visibility with calls, forms, bookings, and other contact actions over the same period. Check whether tracking covers every important path and whether staff can identify qualified inquiries.
Review the queries that moved
A higher position for a broad research query may have little effect on sales. A smaller gain for a specific service and location can matter more. Group the queries by customer intent before comparing totals.
Use the sales record as a check
Marketing data becomes more useful when it can be compared with real conversations. A simple qualification field in the intake process can explain whether increased traffic reached the customers the business wants.
